Designed for decoration
In Morocco we produce millions of promotional garments every week. Our comprehensive collection offers decorators a choice so they can order the exact garment they need for every occasion and at every price point. Our in-house design team responds to market trends and we constantly assess and adapt our collection to meet customer demands – introducing new styles and colours every year.

The best quality yarn
A great T starts with high-quality cotton yarns, which we carefully select from trusted suppliers. We inspect each batch of yarn to ensure it meets our standards – only the best ringspun yarns are selected for our Iconic range, giving these Ts their famous soft feel.

Fine-gauge knit
Inside our vast knitting room, 220 state-of-the-art machines operate around the clock to produce the soft, comfortable and highly-printable fine-gauge-knitted fabric that is the hallmark of our Iconic Ts. Each piece of fabric is checked before it moves on to the next stage.

Our world-class dyeing facility
Now it's time to add some amazing Fruit of the Loom colour! Our world-class dye house features 21 large-capacity dye jet machines and we use only the highest-quality vegetable-based dyes. All chemicals in the process are 100% non-toxic – continually verified by Oeko-Tex. Each of our current range of 48 colours is precision-blended and thoroughly inspected by our colour experts to ensure the consistency and colourfastness you count on.

Precision cut to minimise waste
With the fabric dyed and machine dried, it's time to cut the fabric into T-shirt shapes. Our expert team uses, literally, cutting-edge technology to create the perfect fits across our size range. Each piece is carefully inspected and measured before moving on to the next stage. As a Zero Waste facility, all our off-cuts are processed and sent to be recycled or reused by other industries. Our sewing room is a highly-efficient operation where teams of skilled sewers work together to create each finished T. All finished garments are then rigorously quality checked and, once passed, are boxed up in quantities to be stored and shipped.

Quality Control, Packing and Shipping
Throughout the T-shirt making process, we perform a number of checks: from color consistency to seam strength, pilling and colourfastness – we examine every detail to ensure that our garments live up to the high standards our customers expect. Once we're satisfied that a T-shirt is perfect, it's packaged efficiently using high-recycled-content minimal packaging and sent on from our immense warehouse and logistics team to distributors across Europe. We hope you enjoyed this brief insight into our Moroccan factory, and how we make our Iconic Ts conscientious and sustainably from start to finish. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with our customer service team who are always happy to help. As always, thank you for choosing Fruit of the Loom.

Making the best garments we can
in the best way possible.
At our fully-owned and managed European manufacturing facility in Morrocco, we have full control over all our processes. For years, we’ve recognised the importance of sustainable production and have been committed to reducing our environmental impact while delivering high-quality products to our customers. Wherever we can make a positive difference, we strive to do so.

Powered by nature
Every factory needs power to operate. And we’re pleased to say that 75% of the energy we currently use in Morocco comes from renewables– mainly wind power. We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint even further into the future, and promote renewable energy, which is why we’re working closely with a solar supplier to develop solutions too – we hope to be able to update you more on that as things progress.

Treating water with respect
Recently, we’ve shared news that over 60% of the water used in our production process is recycled by us – significantly reducing our water consumption. Key to this, and attached to our facility, is our own full-scale modern water treatment plant which turns brackish dye water back into clean, pure, reusable water. Again, we are continually looking at our processes to make this impressive percentage even more positive. Here in Morocco, we have also taken huge steps to dramatically reduce our waste output, and we have officially become a Zero-Waste facility. Initiatives such as designing-out waste and recycling and repurposing textile off-cuts has made a huge impact in this area.

Recycled and recyclable packaging
Packaging is another way we have positively implemented sustainable practices. We have cut packaging use; the packaging we do use is 100% recyclable and features high recycled content. All this ensures we minimize our use of new materials and reduce our environmental impact all round.

More ambitious targets for 2030
In Morocco, and across our practices globally, Fruit of the Loom is continuously looking for new ways to improve its sustainability practices – we know that there is still more to be done. As a sustainable production leader, we are committed to exploring and investing in innovative solutions and technologies to further reduce our environmental impact and make our operations even more beneficial to the environment in which we operate. Fruit of the Loom is committed to producing high-quality imprint garments made the right way – The Fruit Way. This means maintaining our enduring commitment to conscientious production. For years, we have valued our employees and treated our workforce with fairness and respect. And our operation in Morocco entirely reflects our commitment to conscientious production and fair labour practices.

Fair pay, fair hours, plus transport and healthcare
Our huge purpose-built, industry-leading production plant in Morocco is designed to provide our employees with a safe, healthy, and comfortable working environment. We believe in fair pay and fair working hours; health and safety is an absolute priority – and we provide free healthcare, break areas, prayer rooms as well as transportation to and from work for all of our employees. All factory departments are well-lit and air-quality managed, featuring technology such as lint-extraction systems. We have an advanced fire protection and sprinkler system, and a network of escape tunnels built into the fabric of the building ensures that every employee is only ever a matter of metres away from a safe evacuation route.

Zero child labour, and equality in the workplace
Throughout our business, we operate a zero tolerance for child labour – in our own facilities and in those of our carefully-selected suppliers. We are also committed to fair labour practices and equal opportunities for everyone to progress in the company. As with all our factories across the globe, our European manufacturing plant in Morocco is continually independently verified. Everyone in the garment industry should be fully aware about where their garments come from and how they have been made. With a commitment to full transparency, Fruit of the Loom continues to be an industry leader for sustainable and conscientious production. This means that our customers can be sure that their high-quality imprint clothing is not just best-in-class for quality, but is all manufactured with the utmost respect for people and the planet too.
